iMvula Group Social Responsibility
As part of the iMvula Group’s commitment to job creation, skills development, entrepreneurial development and poverty alleviation, iMvula commits a portion of its equity stake in each company's operating entity to a share incentive trust specifically designated for the benefit of the employees of that business.

This initiative underpins iMvula's commitment to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment by making all employees equity stakeholders, thereby facilitating ownership and wealth creation.

Through the iMvula Skills Development Academy, iMvula promotes the development of job-specific skills, upgrading customer service levels and providing opportunities for employees at all levels to develop skills, thereby assuring their future career development and promotability.

iMvula promotes a non-racial, non-sexist environment, in which cultural and personal diversities are recognized, respected and encouraged.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At iMvula we realise how important our corporate social responsibility is. The goal with corporate social responsibility is to embrace responsibility for the iMvula's actions and encourage a positive impact on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders, and any other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders.

A quick overview of our most recent initiatives include:
  • Sponsorship of a reading drive at Itsoseng, a township between Mafikeng and Lichtenburg in the North West Province. Here kids from Grades 3 to 10 participated in a three-day reading drive project. Our financial contribution made it possible for the Readers' and Leaders' kids to read, play games and have snacks at this reading drive.
  • iMvula paid for uniforms, school bags and stationery for 60 children at Oliver’s House, making it possible for these children to enjoy a normal, happy school life.
  • We sponsored school bags for 98 under-privilleged school kids at the Sefikeng Primary School in Leeuwkop prison.
  • iMvula Sponsored a year's school fees for Christina, a disabled, wheelchair-bound child who suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She is studying Pastel Accounting and we are delighted to have been able to make this possible for her!
  • Sponsorship of school supplies for children at the Al Noor Orphanage Centre in Woodstock Cape Town.
INVITATION TO MILITARY VETERANS
As part of our Social Responsibility Programme iMvula has launched a training and development programme to assist military veterans who served South Africa prior to the 1994 elections and who contributed to the free democratic society that South Africa’s citizens now enjoy to enter into sustainable employment.

As a well-established South African security company we identified the need for high quality security officials and management in the security industry and invite any interested parties to apply for enrolment. Training will be free of charge and assistance with placement into the security industry will be facilitated upon successful completion of this SASSETA-accredited one-year training programme.

Interested parties can fax their curriculum vitae to 086 5700142. A service or reference number must be included to process the application.
